From the website of the Superintendent of Hutto ISD:
Welcome to the Hutto Independent School District and our webpage. This is a school district in which customer service is practiced by all employees and where all employees put our students first. Our vision statement, introduced at the top of this letter, speaks to the commitment our district has for our students, teachers, parents and our community. It isn’t just a statement, but a belief shared by all our employees! Without a doubt, the Hutto schools have a long history of developing quality students who enter society as productive adults. Indeed, our students score well on both state and national test along with being provided character education training. In extra-curricular competition, Hutto constantly performs high both athletically and academically. Undoubtedly, HISD is highly respected throughout this region as an example of high standards.
You will find that our school district reaches out to the community in an effort to involve everyone in the educational process. In fact, our District Advisory Council, composed in part of parents, community and business members, is active in every phase of decision making. This partnership between the schools and our community has earned tremendous support for a quality educational system.
The Hutto Independent School District offers many progressive programs which support educational potential and excellence for all our students! There is no question that our students deserve the best possible education we can provide. Together, we can make this a reality. We in the Hutto Independent School District urge each of you to join us as partners in providing a world class education for all students.
Sincerely,
David P. Borrer
Superintendent
